Sonya Waddell, LPC, BC-TMH

Sonya Waddell is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Board Certified Telemental Health (BC-TMH) and has been providing therapy for nearly 14 years. She uses a technique called Rapid Resolution Therapy which is a technique that is used to help clients resolve challenges they are facing rapidly. Some clients have had challenges resolved in one session. Others have seen amazing results in 1 to 6 sessions. This process is painless, which helps the client eliminate the emotional pain without reliving the traumatic or stressful event by telling the therapist over and over again. Clients are able to eliminate negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors which bring peace to the soul.

Sonya is committed to helping facilitate change and growth in her clients and works diligently to truly understand their needs. She specializes in working with adult clients who struggle with anxiety and who are stuck because of a trauma in their lives. Sonya understands that one therapy technique will not work for everyone and that she must adapt to her client and the way they learn and take in information.
"Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.”

Sucess Story

"I was seeing a psychologist and I didn’t seem to be making any progress so I stopped going.  After a while I knew I really needed to speak to someone so I found Sonya through my EAP program at work.  I didn’t have very high hopes since the other person didn’t work out and at that point I had a pretty negative attitude.  I soon found out I was so wrong.  Her calm and soothing tone put me at ease from the start and I knew this was where I was supposed to be.  I am a spiritual person and she was able to reach me from that angle.  Because of her ability to really listen, she was able to meet me where I was and she helped me sort out the circumstances that I was unable to do on my own.
I found the Rapid Resolution Therapy she uses very helpful and I didn’t have to keep going to sessions for months and months to see results.  I now have more confidence and joy in my life and I trust her because I know she really cares about me and my wellbeing.  I literally thank God for putting her in my path. "
